Chapter 58. Broken Without Her

“Please, Beta Ralph, this way.”

I could hear the shattering of glasses and vases in the meeting hall. I straightened my long coat as I and Richard hurried toward the place where Alpha Edison almost destroyed everything that was in front of him.

“Are you sure you have searched the whole place? Did you send any horsemen to find her? She must be hiding somewhere in the city. Maybe she just went to the Duchess' house?” I asked Richard a tricky question so that I could find out what parts of this pack they had sent a search party. I was hoping that Claire had already reached the border with Caero. No one would ever think of her moving to that place. They would never dare go through that forest because the road towards that area was part of the borders of the Vampire Kingdom and making a single step there would mean casualties to any werewolf and breaking the treaty.

But Claire was unique. She was a half-vampire. She sha
