Claire's POV

With each taunting step he took toward me, my heart skipped a beat and I got more and more excited. Hunter looked so tasty right then, and the desire to eat him was strong. His chiseled chest showed through the few open buttons at the top of his white shirt. The soft material hugged his muscular biceps, and his dark hair was tousled, giving him a rugged look.

I quickly shook my head and cleared my throat before saying the first thing I thought of. "I was going to ask Demon to drive me to see Sam." I told a lie as an answer.

He looked down at me with his eyebrows knitted together. "No, Ryder or I will take you wherever you want to go. Demon will no longer travel with you." Hunter said in a serious way.

I wasn't sure what to say back to him. "What's up with that?" I agreed with him, but I didn't want Hunter to know yet. I didn't want to be alone with Demon.

My eyes wandered down his beautiful body after they left his. Hunter gave a soft chuck
