Claire turned the pages and skimmed each one. She stopped when she came to an entry about a demon.

Althea had written that Demon was getting worse and becoming someone she no longer knew. Then, finally, she told him about an event that had changed him forever. So Claire was left wondering what had happened.

Claire spent the whole day in the library. She lost track of time as she got lost in the books. She heard the library door open all of a sudden. Claire put the book in the desk drawer quickly and started to head for the door. She looked everywhere to find the person who had opened the door, but it looked like she was the only one there. I left the room and went to my bedroom. When Claire looked at the clock on the wall, she saw that it was six o'clock and that she needed to get ready.
