Chapter 23. The Pack's Sake

I do not know which part was the “for my good” that Mark said to me. But after remembering the panic he had in his eyes, I knew that I had to do as he says so I went to the infirmary where I could see my aunt. Since I couldn’t decide if I fully trust him, I guess I’ll have to go and my aunt, perhaps she holds the answer to my dilemma.

I spotted her chatting with the others staying there and when she noticed me, her face instantly lit up.

“Hello, my niece.” She greeted.

I smiled, “Hello Aunt. How are you doing here?” Well, I admit that t has been days since I last visited her, and seeing her looking healthy and vibrant today just lightened up my heart.

At least I know that she’s in good hands now.

“Well, I am friends with them now. Oh, and I am planning on going to the kitchen and cooking the food for the pack.” She announced to me eagerly, “And how about my niece? What are you up to this day that you seem to forget to visit me here?”
