Chapter 48. Higher Price

A few hours passed after knowing that I am captured by my own clan and also in the same cage with Alpha Kai. Never in my life was I imprisoned like some kind of animal. Even Alpha Ace himself treated me with so much kindness and respect even when he kind of hated me the first time we met. 

But most of all, I did not expect that it would be my kind that would betray me like this. Bound in chains, with nothing to drink and nothing to eat. The whole cage was dirty filled with animal dung and pee as if a pig was kept here before us. 

And since I have somehow shared my mate’s sensitive senses, the mere smell of the animal dung was enough to put me to sleep. 

I wanted to wallow in self-pity but what I am experiencing is not near to what Alpha Kais is experiencing. He has been silent with some occasional grunts and growls. He’s the one being affected here the most.
