Chapter 47. You’re My Everything
Celeste’s POV
I struggled to breathe now, desperate for air with each lung full. It burned with each struggling breath.
My eyes felt heavy. Nathaniel had sat me down on this chair, hard beneath me but I was past caring now. I just wanted this misery to end, to release me from this suffering.
I made peace with the fact I had little time left and we would be unsuccessful in finding a cure or a way to reverse this curse put upon me, at least Evelyn was gone and defeated. Unable to harm anyone else, that was all the peace I needed.
Watching the conversation between Savannah, Liam and Nathaniel, I caught parts of the conversation through the ringing in my ears and the pain which throbbed within me. But one part became crystal clear to me.
