Chapter 91. Good News

Celeste’s POV

I awoke to the aroma of strong coffee and as I opened my eyes, I saw the steaming cup on my bedside table. Rolling over, the space in the bed next to me was empty, but I heard the sound of sizzling coming from down the hall.

Leaving the bedroom, I sleepily made my way to the kitchen as I gripped my cup of coffee. Taking slow sips, the strong taste was welcome early this morning.

As I entered the kitchen, I saw Liam standing by the cooker, he was tending to bacon in the pan, and as soon as I caught his attention he smiled.

This was different, in a good way. I had never seen Liam in this light before, he had never cooked for me and it almost felt like we were a couple living together. I couldn’t deny I enjoyed the scenario of being Liam’s mate.

“Morning sleepy head,” Liam said, taking the bacon from the pan and adding it to a plate with eggs “I thought you might be hungry after your long rest.”
