Chapter 98. A Second Chance

Celeste’s POV

Arriving back at Liam’s home, I felt as though I wasn’t myself, but in the best way. After everything I had been through, not just recently but the torment I had suffered from childhood, had led to this moment.

I had grown stronger from all of these events, proved to myself and others I possessed strengths no one realised I had, and it shaped me into the person I was meant to become.

The bond between Julian and I had been broken, and remembering him had flooded back to me so quickly it had become a lot to process. How I felt when we met at University, how our bond had grown over the years, and the solid relationship we had built together.

But now, our mated bond had snapped, and it felt like a part of me was missing. A hole in myself where Julian had been for such a major part of my life, empty.

“How are you feeling Celeste?” Liam asked, he brushed his fingers through my hair “Do you need anything?”

I smiled, leaning into Liam
