“She has lost the child…. She’ll never be able to conceive again.

Those were the only words that echoed in Haven’s head as she stared at the healer in disbelief. Her eyes went wide as her hands immediately flew to her stomach.

“No…” She breathed, her voice was barely a whisper. “My-My baby,” She stuttered, tears pooling in her eyes. “My b-beautiful baby. What has happened to my child?!” Her pained scream filled the entire room.

“No!” Haven screamed, pushing away Lucious’ hands as he tried to hold her. She made a move to get off the bed and ended up hissing in pain as a sharp pain hit her.

“Haven, please listen to me. You aren't healed yet. You cannot—” The rest of his words got cut off as Haven pushed him out of this way this time and dashed towards the door.
