“ Everything… everything happened between us last night.”

Haven looked at him wide- eyed, her throat becoming dry all of a sudden.

“ It was the best night of my life” She heard Lucious add before a smile crept up his handsome face. “ Well , the best part of both our lives— that’s what you made me believe.” His goofy smile only made Haven’s horror double.

The shirt in her hands fell to her knees as she stared at him with a mixed expression of both horror and disbelief.

Was he f. telling the truth? Did something really happen last night ? A scoff of disbelief escaped her lips and Haven could feel her heart start to accelerate, beating wildly like it would burst out of her chest any moment from now. A big lump formed in her throat and she swallowed hard, her brain still processing his words. Her eyes slowly travelled down her body and seeing the clothes she was putting on, Haven’s expression drastically changed.
