Lucious didn’t say a word as he listened to Haven. He could see the tears starting to form in her eyes as she apologized over and over again.

He nearly chuckled when heard her admit she should have listened to him back then. She was right though, if only she had then things wouldn’t have had to turn out like this. As she apologized, he felt her soft hands hold his which only made him frown. That warm tingly feeling whenever he came in contact with his mate erupted beneath his skin.
