Chapter 243

“ WHAT ARE YOU?!” His voice thundered again, his eyes not showing signs of letting her go if she dared answer his question wrongly. Haven gulped down. What was she to do? She wheezed again, trying her best to gasp for breath.

What was wrong with this man? Why was he attacking her without reason? What had she even done wrong? Haven couldn’t think of anything.

“ What are you?!” He said in a deadly voice. It was obvious he hated having to repeat himself. If she didn’t reply him this time, he wouldn’t think twice about snapping her precious neck in two.

Tears streamed down Haven’s cheeks. What was she? What sort of question was that anyway?
