Elsie POV

My arm was wrapped around Iris’ shoulder as she supported most of my weight.

The hallway was filled with the smell of gunpowder. We had barely made it to the stairwell when a loud explosion rocked the building.

Iris shielded my body with her, the debris raining down on her.

“Are you okay? What the fuck is that?”

“Sounds like a bomb. We need to get out of here as fast as we can”

Sounds of heavy footsteps made us freeze and we were suddenly surrounded by men I recognized as Antonio’s elite guards.

I could barely move my legs so I could not fight them.

“What do we do now?”

She handed me her phone and cocked her gun. “Call Alicia. Tell her I need help”
