Chapter 45
Third-Person POV
The sun was peeking through the blue sky, a soft ray of sunshine managing to untangle itself from the dark drapes of his cold room as it fell right upon her face. Her skin glowed with the fallen ray as she twisted her face at the sudden attack of light.
Xerxes unconsciously raised his hand in the air, blocking the notorious beam. His curious, soft gaze lingered over her features as they softened. Without a doubt, she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, which was a very lousy and lazy way to describe her.
There was something moon-soaked and dawn-flavored about her. Something that kissed his deepest, darkest part and meddled with his darkness, just like these falling rays of sunshine, bussed by the dawn.
Suddenly, the urge to see her big soft brown eyes engulfed him, and Xerxes struggled. His eyes were intensely on her, taking in every feature and detail he had missed all these times.
She was everything he was
