Katarina's POV

“Her body is cold, Alpha. Her breaths….they’re shallow.”

I was never completely sure of anything. Either be it the first time Lucien taught me fighting in battlegrounds, the night my parents were killed and I remained in that same house and couldn’t do anything, or when I fall in love with him. Why was I bringing this all out of blue? Well, these were the few decisions I regretted.

I remembered two things only. Me drifting into the darkness and now, cold hands on my feverish body.

“Do something. Save her.”

I sensed his domineering and overbearing presence on my left, despite my eyes being closed, I could feel his warmth on my body, claustrophobic and nauseating. I hated him.

“Her wolf, I can no longer sense her. Aconite is spreading like cancer.”
