Sephora ran in and stood among the ranks. She gave me a salute and her face was stiff and emotionless. I sighed. I told her that she wasn’t coming along with us.

I love the way her hair looked. The tight bun had disappeared and her hair was tied behind her in a long and simple ponytail.

I peeled myself out of my admiration and strutted up to her. We made it a rule to keep our relationship aside when we were on duty.
