Chapter 40. Am I Not Attractive Enough?

I sat quietly in my study, my head running in circles. It had been quite a while since breakfast and that little drama that Nicole tried to pull out of the blue.

I gripped my pen as fury surged within me. Nicole seemed to have forgotten her place in this pack and was trying to bite off more than she could chew.

I closed my eyes and signalled Pierre through the mind link to bring Nicole to my office. We needed to have a serious discussion.

I continued to attend to the paperwork on my desk. I wouldn't have had this much if only Nicole had been doing her job and had been less concerned about trying to push her way into my life. It was all futile. I had found my mate, and it was only a matter of time till her position was revoked.
