Chapter 24. Are the Warriors Good to You?

Selena’s POV

“Come on, we are going to make a phone call.” Luna Anna says with a bright smile, looking down at her phone. She’s been texting someone while I threw my mate and his friends under the bus. I know it was a low blow, but they really need to train endurance in different terrains if they want to keep up to someone who is used to it and wants to make it work to their advantage.

“Who are we calling?” I ask, following Luna Anna and Amber out of the living room and into Luna’s office it seems. She grabs her laptop and heads out, not answering my question. I look at Amber who just shrugs and shakes her head with a smile. Sometimes Luna forgets others exist when she is on a mission—like now. She is so focused on the task she’ll not even register if we even followed her before she is at her destination and needs us.

“Ah, we can use our private small conference room. Close the door Selena dear.” I do as she says and sits down after she does, feeling so utte
