Chapter 40. The Danger We Feel

Sienna’s POV

I’m so fucking proud of my sister! She is a badass and a half, and tonight she showed a whole new side of badassery with knowing the laws as she does. I know them, as do the boys, because our parents are who they are, but I never thought my little sister would. And seeing our aunt again, first kicking ass as a Council witch, and after the induction, was a blast in itself. She was very curious about Selena and I promised her to introduce them later, as Selena looked like she was in the middle of something important with Zane.

I almost couldn’t believe my own eyes when I saw she had been chosen to represent the witch Council tonight, but it’s great! I also can’t believe the werewolf Council would select such a total jerk as Councilman Stephens as their speaker, but that’s just how it is I guess. Maybe they’ll actually think about their choice next time. Celeste snorts at this. Probably not.
