For the first time, he began to fear for his life. What if the Luna found out that her drink had been sp*ked? What would become of him then? Would they be able to trace it to him? He was very aware that when it concerned the royals they would ensure that any suspicious happenings were properly investigated.

He hurried out of the corridor, hoping no one had seen me.

In the Dark Moon pack, if a noble woman is caught cheating society blamed her husband for not meeting her sexual needs. So, when men of high ranking status find out they have been cuckolded by their wives they would most likely murder the man she was having an affair with and any person that might have witnessed it happen and they will continue in society as though nothing happened.

That meant he would be dead should it ever be discovered that he had been responsible for drugging the Luna and he had also witnessed a man leave her room discreetly.
