Chapter 148
Arielle snuck out of her house the day after. She had made up her mind that if she did not see Tamar today he would conclude that either something terrible had happened to her or Tamar simply did not want to see her again. It was a pity though because she really did not like owing people and she had yet to pay for the lessons she had received from her.
It had been a fortnight now and her parents had not returned home. She was not bothered for two reasons; sometimes they were away for months and secondly, she was having the time of her life and all that would come to an end once they came back.
She arrived at the pond not having much hope of seeing Tamar but there was Tamar sitting at the edge of the stream.
“Did something terrible happen to you, Tamar?” asked Arielle the moment she saw Tamar.
“Good morning to you too,” responded Tamar.
“You have been away for a week without telling me that you would not be coming here,” said Arielle, if not for Alpheus
