Chapter 45

Adrian’s POV

Walking into my room with Camilla behind me, I turn on the lights. They momentarily flicker on and off before they completely go off. Fuck, I need to change that one light bulb before they all die, for some reason, when one light bulb dies they all stop functioning. I have been telling myself I will get around to it but I’ve been unmotivated because I don’t sleep in this bedroom as much.

“What’s that?” Camilla point’s to an empty spot in the corner of my wardrobe.

“Nothing.” I switch on my phone’s flashlight and hand it to her. “Take this, let me fix the lights.”

I grab my gaming chair and use it as a ladder to help me reach the lights, with my height it’s an easy task. Balancing on the armrest hoping I don’t fall, I unscrew the bulb and screw it back in.

The lights come on and I hop off my gaming chair, knowing full well I haven’t fixed the problem, it will once again arise in a couple of days but for now it’ll withstand. When I return fro
