She stood at the long table, arms crossed, looking like she’d rather be anywhere else than here. The tension in the room increased, and we were the only two in it.
“Sit,” she said sharply.
I pulled out the chair across from her and dropped into it.
“I’ve been thinking about something,” she said, her voice quiet but full of warning. “You’re friends with my brother, and also Elyra’s your mate. And yet, you're always here with us. Making decisions that could tip us off to Bloodmoon.”
I leaned back slightly. “What are you getting at?”
“I’m asking whose side you’re really on,” she said, watching me with eyes sharp as glass. “Don’t give me the neutral wolf act, Deric. Not when things are this bad.”
