Chapter 62. Julian’s Ultimatum

Julian’s POV

I exhaled slowly, my patience hanging by a thread as Amelia’s voice rang through the clearing, shrill and sharp. Her fury crackled in the air like a live wire, her arms crossed tightly as she glared at me.

I had intended to speak to Alpha Kingsley in private but he had made us go after her, and now I had to deal with her drama again regardless of how upset it made me.

“You are not acting like my mate should!” she snapped, her voice rising. “You humiliate me time and time again, and for what? To spend some time with her? My weak, pathetic sister?”

I felt my fists clench as she continued to haul insults at Avery whom I regarded so highly. I exhaled sharply, pinching the bridge of my nose as Amelia’s voice rang in my ears as she continued to talk nonstop, spewing complaints and accusations like a broken record.
