Devon’s POV

My beta, Abel, returned as soon as Sara left the room. "I saw Lady Sara run out of this room, is she okay?" He questioned.

"Are you worried about her?" I asked, staring at his face.

He shook his head and sighed "Why would I? She is so evil, I would never look at someone like her twice." He replied, rolling his eyes.

I chuckled as I sat back in my seat and rolled my eyes. "She talked about some weird stuff. She said she would be going somewhere to atone for her sins and when she is back, things would change." I explained, amusement showing on my face.

Abel frowned "Going somewhere to atone for her sins? Why can't she stay here as a maid to do that?" He chuckled and shook his head "I don't really understand. Why would she do that?"
