Chapter 51. You Can Go

Devon’s POV

Instead of going to the Study as promised, I went to my father’s room where I saw him sitting in bed. I walked over to him and sat beside him. “Bella is back.” I said and he turned his head to look at me. He breathed in relief and smiled bitterly.

“I’m glad she returned. What did she say to you?” He asked and I sighed.

“She was very angry. She entered her room and closed her door. I don’t think she would ever want to treat you again.” I replied.

He was silent for a while “That’s certain. Who would want to do that? I insulted her and said a lot of harsh things to her.” He muttered and smiled again. “Where is that her friend that was here with her yesterday?”

“I heard he’s been in the garden since that yesterday. He didn’t even return to his room all night.”
