Alpha Devon’s POV

I stood with my hands behind my back. It had been hours that I stood this way, trying to figure out what went wrong. What could have made Bella decide to be the one in charge of taking care of the issue despite knowing the risk that was involved but nothing came to my mind.

I felt sad and confused at the same time. Did she love me so much that she wanted to help me even at the cost of her life or did she hate me so much that she felt her life had ended the moment she had my baby? Was she planning to kill herself by doing that?

Everyone would know that the most cruel heartache I could experience at the moment was my lover getting killed by my enemy without being able to do anything. Could it be that she was doing all this because she hated me too much? I’ve spent hours on these thoughts but I’ve come to no visible stop at all.
