I froze the moment my amber eyes met Thea’s. The sound of clinking chains echoed between us, but all I could focus on was the dark recognition in her brown gaze. That name—Thea—sounded strangely familiar, and the anger flickering in her eyes confirmed my suspicion: there was far more to this than I’d realized.
