“You picked black so you won’t be easily spotted by the vampires.” She remarked as we walked over to the tables ladened with different varieties of food and pastries.

I picked up a piece of cake and plopped it in my mouth while scanning the crowd to make sure Kate was playing with the other kids safely.

“What are you talking about?” I asked dumbfounded staring at Willow as she ate from the same cake I just had from, “What vampires?”

“Aiden perceived that Akanther could attack tonight so he extra beefed up security and also sent threats that he would have his head if he did anything funny.” She continued like I had an idea what she was talking of, “It’s good you picked black as you would be hard to spot since..”
