Chapter 39

"Are you ignoring me?" Aadhira asked surprised.

Arnav looked at her angrily and again diverted his vision beyond her.

As she swayed in his arms for the dance that every werewolf was crazy to see, she called him twice. But, he didn't reply. From the corner of her eyes, she could see James and Meera dancing as well as few other couples joining the song.

In the general case, she would have been more than happy to see that Arnav wasn't paying any attention to her. But, this time she knew that it was her mistake again. She had unknowingly thrown rude comments on him for which she knew she deserved the ignorance that he was doing now. After all, he tried to save her from public humiliation.

Why was she feeling bad though? She wondered. Maybe because saying bad things to someone innocent is a bad thing in itself. Her conscience reasoned.
