Chapter 69

Aadhira slowly opened the door to her room. She had been waiting outside the room, trying to formulate a strategy to deal with Arnav's hallucination and violent nature. He could hurt her in his state but she was ready for it.

She doubted if he could smell her outside the door. But since he had not opened the door yet, she hypothesized that he must be unaware.

The door was locked from outside for safety reasons by the guards of the king to keep Arnav in control. Meera informed her that the inside lock was broken as once he had locked himself to avoid the treatment. And then the King had to order Arnav to open the door.

Opening the door, she peeked inside first. Of course, she would be scared. She was a human for heaven's sake. And she was afraid if Arnav would be in his werewolf form. She had no problem facing Arnav's human form but the enlarged figure of the werewolf scared her. She had only seen him like that once and she had enough for a lifetime.<
