"Okay, Jade. You need to stop this." Kenji growled from where he stood. He stuck his hands in the front pockets of his pants and leaned sideways against the frame of her door.

He watched his wailing cousin look up at him from the thighs of his mother. Jade had been crying uncontrollably since Lake pushed her away from him. His cousin had flung herself further into the garden and settled her butt into the bush of dandelions. Kenji had stood by the door, looking at her. Disgust crept to the forefront of his expression, but he soon decided to have a tad bit more mercy on her. After all, she was in love. Or at least, that was her excuse for her silly tantrums. He did not know what that felt like, so all he could do was be there for her.
