Chapter 24. He Was Everywhere
Indah and Anthony were both surprised, wide-eyed at Grace's horrible appearance. She looked like someone who was deeply depressed.
“Goodness, Grace! You haven’t showered?” Anthony tried to crack a joke.
“I have. I just don’t brush my hair,” Grace answered nonchalantly.
Indah didn’t get why her daughter turned this ugly. “Aren’t you embarrassed looking like a zombie in front of Anthony?” she said, trying to bring Grace back to reality. She knew the girl actually paid enough attention to her looks.
“It’s just Anthony,” said Grace, completely okay with being seen that way. “You won’t hate me just because you see me like this, right, Ant?”
As a matter of fact, Anthony felt a little hurt hearing ‘just Anthony’. However, he didn’t think it was time to be sulking about it. “Of course, I won’t. Just got little goosebumps,” he tried to pull some joke but failed.
Grace only registered a blank expression.
