Chapter 36. The Reason
Grace let go of her arms a few moments after that and wiped her tears. She got out of bed holding Evan's hand. "Now you eat first, then tell me everything," she asked.
Evan knew he couldn't dodge anymore. It seemed like God was forcing him to open up to Grace. Hence he complied with her request and went to the kitchen with her.
The two sat down at the table, and Grace helped Evan. She put some rice and side dishes that she had made earlier on the plate she then gave to him, before finally serving herself.
“You’ve been waiting for me to wake up to have dinner? It’s past eight. You shouldn’t have to wait. You have to stick to a regular eating schedule. Have you forgotten what I’ve said years back?” Evan grumbled a little, giving advice.
Hearing this, Grace's stomach tingled and she laughed. "Oh, you're better now. You're being fussy again," she said, amused.
