Chapter 52. Nighttime

Quinn and Henry sat opposite each other, looking at each other awkwardly.

It's been hours since Stephen left, and since then, they hadn't said a word to each other.

"So, he's really and truly your husband?" Henry wasn't fully convinced.

From the way they interacted earlier on, they didn't seem like a true couple at all.

"No. You don't have to tell me before I know he isn't one." Henry smiled back.

"Really? Think what you want then." Quinn stood up and made to leave.

She barely got to the stairs when Henry's words stopped her,

Quinn froze at the spot. Her heart began palpitating. She didn't respond, neither did she move.
