Chapter 63. Fooling Around with Her Assistant

Kathleen was deep in thought. She was thinking about her meeting with Stephen, days ago.

Was she making the right choice by joining forces with him?

Well, it wasn't as if she was killing anyone, was she?

She was merely claiming what rightfully belonged to her, wasn't she?

Tapping her fingers impatiently on the table, she sighed.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a slight knock at the door.

"Come in,” she managed to say. The door was pushed open, and her assistant came inside.

Kathleen had to press down her urge to smile. She had been thinking about this day for the past few days.

She didn't need to expend any effort at all.

Her assistant walked over and bowed politely. "Good day, President Kathleen,” he (she) said.

Kathleen nodded as she studied 'him'. She had watched to see if she would send in her resignation letter. If she didn't, then that would make everything easy.
