Chapter 25

Emma

I pay no attention to anything in the bathroom as I undress and step inside the shower, my mind is too lost in the memories of Alex’s lips on mine. These last 24 hours have been both a nightmare yet also include some of the best hours of my life. I start washing my body still lost in remembering the feel of Alex’s body on top of mine when I see something out of the corner of my eye and automatically turn my head more to see what it is.

Within seconds a ear-piercing scream surrounds me and I quickly realize that it’s coming from me but I struggle to stop it. I slide down the wall until I’m sitting on the floor and soon I can feel the start of a panic attack, I try to control it but I have no control over my body even as I hear banging on the door, my body remains frozen to the spot.
