Chapter 156. Finding Perfection

“You seem sad. Is everything okay?” asked the man. I snapped out of my daze. I nodded my head vigorously before realizing he hadn’t answered my question. “Why don’t we go somewhere quiet so we can talk?” he suggested as he guided us through the crowd. I nodded obediently and followed him further along the path that led to the palace.

We walked silently down a long hallway filled with beautiful paintings and decorations hanging on the wall. The hall was filled with people, and it wasn’t easy to move through them unnoticed.

We reached a stone staircase leading up to a wide, elegant entranceway. I glanced at the painting in front of me. The image portrayed a magnificent castle surrounded by a large lake and flowers in a variety of colors. The painting was exquisite.
