His eyes seemed to have a deep black hue. As I stood before him, I suddenly sensed immense hatred. The evil spirit emanated a murderous intent that I had never encountered before. His stare made me shudder. With a shuddering gasp, I broke eye contact with him and turned around, rushing to escape, only to find a group of warriors standing near me.
They immediately surrounded me, preventing me from escaping.
“Who are you? Where have you come from?” asked one warrior, stepping in front of me. His fierce gaze pinned me to the ground.
It wasn’t until his threatening gaze made me aware of a sharp pain running down my calf that I noticed my foot had been cut off. I screamed loudly in agony.
Fear engulfed my heart, and my whole body began trembling violently. Suddenly, I remembered what Garrick told me earlier: That I must stay calm, that I mustn’t show any signs of weakness; else the process would be longer.
