Chapter 190. The Village

The town is still empty despite the fact that he left the village just an hour ago. This makes Gylen worry, because usually it wouldn’t be quiet enough for the inhabitants of the village to leave their homes without notice.

While he walks around the outskirts of the town, a woman wearing a white cloak approaches him from the front. She stands several feet away from him and looks at him in silence. Gylen can’t help but feel uncomfortable under her gaze. Does she recognize me from yesterday?

“Hello,” he greets her hesitantly.

She nods in response. “Good morning.” Gylen smiles at the woman, not knowing what else he should say.

“You are not from around here.”

Oh? That’s right. He forgot he was a foreigner. He nods his head and tells her, “Yes. I’m from outside of the village. My name is Gylen.”

He waits for her to respond but doesn’t receive one, instead turning her attention back to his sword that he’s still holding in his hands. “What is your weapon
