Chapter 81. Stupid Couple

Even though I have seen Veronica upset many times before, it still didn't get any easier to digest. Every time, I feel like my guys are twisting into something inhuman, wanting to swallow me up, and the only way to stop it was to save her from whatever that was upsetting her.

But this time, it was worse.

She wasn't crying. She wasn't even making that sad face.

She was in a whirlwind mood.

“Baby, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you like that. I just lost my cool for a moment. I swear I didn't mean to, and I'm not upset at you either. Hey, please, talk to me,” I hollered from outside our bedroom.

I have been knocking for almost twenty minutes now, but she had yet to let out a word of response. I know she was alright because I was hearing shuffling from inside. Otherwise, I might have been having a panic attack right about now.

“Babe, talk to me, please. I'm begging you—” Just then the door flung open.

And there
