Aurora’s POV

She's really free to leave?

I glanced at Matteo who looked impatient and ready to return to work at any moment, wondering who might have spoken some sense into him.

It wasn't my problem because Giselle would no longer be in this hell-hole.

"Thank you so much, sir." Giselle croaked, her voice laced with tears as she dropped to her knees and thanked him.

Matteo's face was red with embarrassment as he pulled he up. "Just return home and take care of yourself." He said and turned away from the both of us.

My heart brimmed with excitement at his magnanimity and compassion. Maybe he was different from his father, but I couldn't just end my obsession for revenge.
