Chapter 85

Cassidy smiled sheepishly telling them that she was sorry but the appendicitis was long ignored until it makes itself known. "I did give my phone to Rowan just in case my brothers call, I didn't want them to worry. But he called them after I was out of surgery and told me that they're going to visit this weekend."

Rowan's forward thinking in telling her brothers about her condition made her recognize the small little details that he had done for her and her little family, or what was left of them. He made her inside all gooey with feelings that she was afraid of.

Since losing her parents it was hard for her to get close to anyone, and now that she was feeling deeper affection toward Rowan, she was scared. Scared for her future. Scared of losing him. Cassidy didn't want to start falling in love with someone, knowing that one day she could lose him too.

"Oh. My. God. You love him, don't you?" Dee stared at her as she had finally found the lost unicorn.

"I do not."
