Chapter 103. Something Is Going On with Freya and Victor

Madeline’s POV

The assassins were aware of the danger that must be lurking around the corner, but they chose to make fun of it and talked to each other as if we were just traveling for fun. Uriel and Victor made me in the center, while Freya stayed behind me, watching the assassins and monitoring what they were doing. 

Currently, we are riding on the deserted road with the sun rising so beautifully above us. When the heat will be too much later and unbearable, then we won't have much choice but to stop of course instead of experiencing heat stroke. 

“Are you fine?”

I rolled my eyes at Uriel who asked. He has a worried expression across his face. 

“Man, you have been asking that question to Madeline a lot of times since yesterday. Can you give her a break?” Victor replied and laughed. “Why don’t you ask me instead? I did not have much sleep and I want to cuddle with you!”
