Zane’s POV

I decided to try my last strain of control. “Belle, are you sure?”

She nodded, her eyes filled with determination. “Yes, I’m sure. I need you, Zane. Please, don’t push me away.”

I couldn’t resist any longer. I leaned in, capturing her lips with mine in a soft, gentle kiss. She responded immediately, her hands tangling in my hair as she pulled me closer.

“Belle,” I whispered against her lips, “are you sure about this?”

She nodded, her eyes filled with certainty. “Yes, Zane. I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life.”
