Slowly, I approached and sat on the plastic chair next to the bed, feeling the warmth of my grandmother's hand beneath mine. We spent those precious minutes in silence, a mix of anxiety and hope permeating the air. Soon, the sound of approaching footsteps brought us back to reality.
Hyun-Suk returned to the room with Hajun. My heart raced as I listened to his words, and my gaze fixed on him as he delivered the good news.
"We've sorted everything out," Hyun-Suk's words made me rise hastily, my eyes searching for his. "I talked to the doctor, and he's allowing Mrs. Jeong's transfer. She'll be taken to Seoul in a special helicopter from their hospital."
A relieved smile spread across my face, almost as a reflex to the news I had been hoping for. Tears threatened my eyes again, and without a second thought, I hugged him tightly, expressing my gratitude.
"Will they come to get her?"
