Chapter 21

The glances we receive with each step we take are not subtle, but Hyun-suk doesn't seem to care at all. I still feel uncomfortable bringing all this attention to us, and it bothers me even more to know that most of the looks are filled with pure judgment.

"Don't mind it," I hear Hyun-suk say when I lock eyes with a man passing right in front of us, who wrinkles his nose. He takes me closer to him and kisses the back of my hand as I raise it along with his. "We're not the problem."

I smile at him, nodding, and walk by his side to the hotel bar.

Hyun-suk is the one who places our order, and he turns to me when we sit on the bar stools, just to look at me and touch my thigh.

"You look really handsome."

"Kang Hyun-suk and his countless compliments," I comment. "Will it ever end?"

"I think it will never end, my love," he replies. "But in case it does, I won't have my heart beating anymore by that time, so for now, let's enjoy, okay?"
