Chapter 27

"What do you think about eggs, Hyun?"

Hyun-suk and I are in a very quiet bakery, looking at the menu. There are a few tables scattered outdoors under the shade of trees. You can see a lake just beyond, and children playing around while the warm breeze hits us.

Hyun-suk shakes his head and then points to the display case.

"I want something sweet."

"Can we share a cake, what do you think?"

"A whole cake?" Hyun-suk laughs. "Won't that be too much?"

"No, silly, it's not a big cake," I say, shaking my head and drawing his attention to the display case. "That one there is small and has fruits. Red fruits are delicious and refreshing for a hot day."

"Alright, I'll order a cake, and we can share. For drinks, what would you like?"

"Orange juice, please."

Hyun-suk nods and goes to the counter. I take the opportunity to look at the view outside and am enchanted when I see a table right under a tree with pink flowers.
