Chapter 33

During the drive to Scandal, I didn't speak much. I listened to the low music playing in the car, courtesy of Hyun-suk, and felt his hand squeeze one of my thighs, playing with the harness. But we still talked about our day. Hyun-suk seemed interested in how Jackson and I had gone shopping at Seoul's most expensive mall.

When we finally arrived at Scandal, the outside facade appeared as discreet as any other ordinary mansion. However, I saw the door open for two women who were just arriving, and I noticed the red lights from inside.

"Is everything red, Hyun?" I looked at him, surprised, and he laughed. I realized my mistake and covered my mouth, wide-eyed.

"It's alright," Hyun-suk said. "But no 'Hyun' in there, okay?"

I nodded, and he parked the car before getting out. Hyun-suk walked around and opened the door for me to exit. I felt his hand holding mine, and I thanked him.

"And tonight is the Scarlet Night."

"What does that mean?" I asked.
