Chapter 6
The days of rest did wonders for Jaejun.
I knew that his smile always made me feel good, but I didn't know it was this much. Jaejun was going to the hospital to visit his grandmother every day, and when he found out that the woman's condition had significantly improved, he cried in relief.
We also received the call we were eagerly waiting for. It came during the early hours of a Saturday. There was a festival in a neighboring city, and young people always went and drove drunk on the dangerous roads. Unfortunately, a serious accident occurred with two cars, and one of them crashed into a thick guardrail. One of the young men in that car was declared brain dead, and he was an organ donor. Jaejun cried when he received the call from the hospital informing him that his grandmother would receive the pair of lungs she needed, and shortly after, he cried even more, seeing the news about the young people who died on TV.
